I was putting together a post about the cutest swimsuits for little ones filled with swim suits that cover from the sun without sacrificing on the cute, when I came across a summer ’16 article on sunscreen. It listed all the best/safest sunscreens* and a list of the worst. Since I have owned a few sunscreens from the worst list (they may even be in my cabinet now), I wanted to make sure I included a few of the best sunscreens for kids in this post. Cute swim suits are great (and adorable!) but they aren’t the full “sun safe” picture, so let’s start with the best sunscreens since that might be your first layer in the daily summer routine.

Read ewg.org‘s full list of THE BEST KIDS SUNSCREENS and the worst. But on to those cute swim suits. Trunks and rash guards (that match with any of the trunks) oh my!

This is a great list of the safe sunscreens. I would love someone to list them by safe factor/price. Most of these are extremely pricey! I’d love to know which is safe and cheap(er). Maybe under $10 for over 2oz.

The Kiss my Face spray (#6) is our favorite, especially for reapplying. I usually try to use one of the heavier zinc ones for first application in the morning but trying to reapply on a squirming and often wet or sweaty toddler is a challenge. The Kiss my Face spray is a bit thinner so it rubs in easily and the spray makes it super easy and fast.

FYI the Kiss My Face spray is different than the other lotions and has chemical block. The one on the EWG list is different than what is posted here.
