I had so many ideas for Grace’s nursery and changed my mind on colors and decor elements a hundred times. Ultimately, I decided on white walls with pops of peach, hot pink, mint, and navy. For hardware, I went with black and gold. I really love how it turned out and I hope Grace does, too (when she is old enough to notice, that is).
The big peach heart is painted on the wall. I might add her name or monogram to the middle, but I like it simple for now. I’m so glad we splurged on that pretty chandelier. It adds so much to the room and Grace loves looking at it when she’s in her crib.
Liam has the same dresser in black and we used it as a changing table until he was potty trained. We love it so much we decided to get it in white for Grace’s room, but we dressed it up with gold knobs.
These picture ledges were in Liam’s room, but we had to do some rearranging in there and they no longer fit, so we moved them to Grace’s room. Liam loves taking all the books off and bringing them to me to read to him and his baby sister.
I really wanted a special place for Liam to hang out in this room, so we asked my mother in law to help us make a play tent or teepee. This was our present to Liam and Grace for Christmas and we hope they both have a lot of fun playing in it!
The ribbon garland was a quick, last minute project – I kept adding more things to the room because it never felt quite done.
I took these pictures the day before I went into labor and two days before Grace was born, so this is my last bump photo!
I love those lights so much and now I want to get a set for Liam’s room!
I didn’t do a great job taking frequent bump pictures this time, but I decided to print the ones I did have, which include Liam, and frame them for the room. I used some washi tape to stick them to a piece of white poster board. Liam, Mr. TTT, and I all painted the canvases – I think Liam’s turned out the best! The pictures in the bottom right frame have already been switched out for pictures from the day Grace was born.

LOVE it! I’ve been dying to see those curtains since you mentioned them in the nursery board. They look awesome. I think they look ombre, but it could be because of the light (sun’s shinning through up top and then it’s darker on the bottom).

@Mrs. Rabbit: they are slightly, but when I first dyed them, they were white on top and gradually went to dark pink on the bottom. Then I washed them. Really really stupid mistake!!

Really beautiful room. I love the heart you painted on the wall – can you tell me how you did that? Would love to do for my daughter

JLC – I meant to share that! We used a projector to project an image of a heart I printed out, then we traced it and filled it in with paint.
