Many of us never stopped wearing them, because really they were just a hat to hide dirty hair or play sports in (in my case not so well). But for the past couple seasons, they have been pretty trendy in everyday wear. Stealing your husband’s (or boyfriend’s) is your best bet if you don’t already own your own, but snatching up a new one won’t be too painful since you can wear it forever even after the trend fades. This might be another major nay or yay trend, as trends go, but just hear me out — you might change your mind if you’re a nay.The good thing about this trend is there isn’t a huge choice of product, since the style doesn’t really change — just the fabric/print. Stick with sporty: steal from the significant other. Try a fun girly print: great to pair with super basic outfits. Maybe go a bit funky: black but in a faux leather is a good toe in the water. Stay basic and solid: best bet for extended wear.
This is a trend that’s pretty easy to wear — just put a hat on and done — best for when you are having a bad hair day. But if you want to stretch it a jump a bit into trendville, pair a cap with something dressy or something classical with an edge. Unexpected is the key to the baseball cap trend.
Keep it casual. Top off a stylish casual outfit – casual but not sporty. That’s key to change it up to make it trendy. HAT . TEE . JEANS . SHOES

So what do you think? Baseball caps, yay or nay?

Yay! I don’t know about wearing them with dresses, but I like the look with jeans and a t.

Definitely nay, sorry!

I probably wouldn’t wear one with a dress but I love the jeans look. What I don’t get is why they all the examples have their hair covering their ears. Is it not okay to have ears anymore?

At a sporting event or perhaps a picnic, but never with a dress!! That girl in the white dress looks like even she knows how stupid she looks…

Meh, ball cap with a dress screams Elaine Benes to me.

They are a nay for me. My hair sticks to my neck when I wear them and I get so sweaty!

Most certainly a ‘Yes’ on wearing baseball caps. I just wrote about this from a male point of view – http://champagnespit.com/fashion-advice/girls-wearing-baseball-caps

Yes but not with the dress shown here. I have as many baseball caps as DH (and more total hats!)
With DH it is nearly impossible to pry his off even if he’s wearing a suit…
