Hellobee

I’ve loved designing nurseries in my head for a while – I’m sure that sounds like an unusual hobby, but for about a year and a half, I was an art director and designer on the baby business of a major corporation, working on catalogs and other print pieces. Partnering with a stylist to come up with big ideas for inspirational nurseries was my gig, and I found myself in love with it! For me, a lot of the “wow” factor in a nursery comes from the impact of a color palette, so I love to use unexpected combinations and then pair them with adorable details. Today’s board is no exception. Using owl and fox details and a poppy aqua, red and orange palette, this nursery skews a little more boy but could definitely be used for a neutral nursery, as well. I love how quirky the animal details are on this board – it’s a fresh take on the way woodland themes are usually seen: on the more cartoony side. Because of its more sophisticated (rather than heavily juvenile) take, it’s also a board that can grow up with the little one and make an excellent toddler’s and young child’s room.
