Working with Bee and her family was a great experience. During our time designing her home, Bee found out she was pregnant with baby number 2! That switched things up a bit, and I got to design a girly yet neutral nursery.

Now that little Ms. Olive has arrived, I decided to make a new style plan with olive green as the main inspiration in honor of the latest addition to Bee’s family. I was lucky enough to meet her a couple of weeks ago and she is cute as can be! I’m sure she would approve of this design plan as well.

My jumping off point for the design was this beautiful NEW YORK print which featured olive green and pink, designed by Rifle Paper Company and available at Pink Olive! I would then add to the gallery wall with some abstract artwork. I think my Poppy Pusher piece (#4) would work perfectly in the space, along with a favorite piece of mine by Linda Monfort (#3). You could also add some beautiful black and white family photographs to the space.

While designing this style plan I found out that a new version of imperial trellis (#5) was out, and it was the perfect shade of green and in velvet! I would use this for window treatments — either panels or roman shades.

I thought adding a kiddie seating nook to the area would be a welcomed addition, and fell in love with the modern lines of this tolix set up (#10) that picked up the yellow taxi color in our inspiration print.

When you have a small room, it’s best to utilize vertical space instead of horizontal, so for storage I went with a tall cabinet instead of a dresser. I adore this find from IKEA (#9). It’s a great color so no need to revamp it, and an it has amazing price point.

Since I saved on the cabinet, I can afford a bit of a splurge on the crib. This Kalon Studios Caravan crib (#6) comes in an array of colors and adds another modern touch to the space.

To add some more texture to the space, I would flank the crib with two of these sconces (#1).

For the walls I would go with a barely there pink. My favorite pick is Shell by Serena and Lily.

While I was drooling around on Serena and Lily’s site, I decided to go with my favorite glider (#7) by them. Love the contrasting banding on the bottom. This technique can easily be done on any piece of furniture that you have with a slipcover.

I was interested in doing some sort of foot stool in the space, but was a bit tired of seeing x-benches and moroccan poufs everywhere. So when I found this Missoni pouf (#8), it had me at hello.

Of course our bundle of joy will need a soft cuddle space to crawl around on and this IKAT rug (#11) ties in all of our colors and makes my heart skip a beat.

Someone with a baby girl on the way must take this style plan and run with it. I need to see it come to life!
