I knew that I wanted to announce this pregnancy in a fun way, and when I found this t-shirt for Charlie, I knew that it was perfect.
This would have been so much fun to do in person, but unfortunately both our families live very far away so we had to email pictures. And this was a fun way to announce my pregnancy online too!
How did you announce your pregnancy to family and friends?

How adorable!
We gathered my mom and my hubs’ parents together for breakfast one day and gave them presents. My mom got a onesy with an elephant on it (she collects elephants), my father-in-law had a bib that said “I love Grandpa” and some socks, and my mother-in-law had a onesy that said “my grandparents think I’m cute.” The funny part was that my mom didn’t realize it was a onesy – just thought it was elephant related, and my mother-in-law was confused about why the shirt was so small (didn’t read the message). The only one who figured it out was my father-in-law. When my mother-in-law connected the dots she asked when we were due and that left my mom utterly confused. She had to ask what they meant!

The first time around we just kind of blurted it out.
The second time around we did the T-shirt thing with my inlaws via Skype. They weren’t very observant, so we basically had to hold our daughter in front of the camera and direct them to look at her shirt!
For my parents, I was a little more creative. For Christmas I had gotten my mom a baby fork and baby spoon that matches her silver- so that our daughter would have matching utensils on special occasions. So, to tell her I was pregnant again, I got another fork and spoon in her pattern and wrapped them up.
When she opened it, she said, “I already have these, why would I need more?” I gave her a “think about it!” look and she caught on.

This is so cute!
We sent out an email for our second where the subject heading read: “(Child’s name) can’t stop smiling because he’s…” and attached a photo of him wearing a t-shirt that read: “Soon to be an older brother”.

so sweet! we had to do 3 separate “announcements”
1. was to husbone’s mom & grandmother – gma was in a rehab facility working on strength & nico asked if he could say a prayer – he prayed for her & feeling better & gaining strength & then said some things that he was thankful for including that I was pregnant
2. was to my side of the family – another prayer – I told my little brother beforehand & he did the same thing: please bless this food, thanks for getting mom here safely, thanks for sister being pregnant
3. was to my fil: nico told him we’d had some family photos made & had one we wanted to give to him- it was a compilation of the sonogram pics we’d had at my 12 week sono
there were a lot of happy tears all around every time, which was really nice. this is grandbaby #1 on both sides, so everyone is pretty excited.
