Your stroller is your car when you live in New York, so I’ve tested out my fair share of stroller accessories. Here is the Hellobee guide to our favorite stroller accessories!
1. Mommy Mitten – I hate wearing gloves and found myself always having to take them off when pushing the stroller, so I loved this mommy mitten that kept my hands toasty all winter. The Teutonia Handmuff looks even toastier (though the white may be difficult to keep clean), and for those of you who have umbrella strollers, the Nomie Stritten might be a better fit.
2. JJ Cole Foot Muff – We used the 7am Enfant footmuff with our City Mini last year, and it was the single best winter purchase I made. The JJ Cole Bundleme is a little more affordable, and it’s available in a wide variety of styles, colors and price points.
4. Stroller Snack/Cup Tray – The UPPABABY Stroller Tray is pictured here, but you’ll most likely have to get one that was designed specifically for your stroller. We had the adjustable belly bar for our City Mini that we used to hang toys off of, and Charlie loved it.
5. Sunshine Kids Cup Holder/Organizer – This was a definite stroller accessory must to hold beverages, keys, and all the other little things you inevitably need to take with you when you have a baby.
6. Booginhead SippiGrip – Babies and toddlers like to throw things on the ground, so this great for attaching your child’s sippy cup and toys to the stroller.
7. Protect a Bub Sunshade – The sunshade that comes with Maclaren umbrella strollers is sorely lacking. The Protect a Bub sunshade was essential for us when we were out and about in the summer to protect Charlie from the sun and allow him to take shaded naps in his stroller.
8. Buggyboard – Charlie is still a little too young for a buggyboard (and winter is too long and cold), but I hope next summer we can use this instead of a double stroller.
9. Sassy Ring Links – Technically this is a teether toy and not a stroller accessory, but they’re simply the best for attaching your child’s toys to the stroller.
10. Think King Mighty Buggy Hook – Since the stroller really is our car, these super sturdy hooks are great for holding your purse and grocery bags.
11. Tag a Long – Charlie is at the stage where he wants to be independent and walk everywhere. This tag-a-long allows him to walk but still hold onto the stroller.
12. My Blue Bumbershoot Hands-Free Umbrella – This is definitely not a necessity, but carless New Yorkers need to get out with their babies even when it’s raining, and it’s hard to hold an umbrella with one hand and push the stroller with the other. Whenever it’s raining, I always pop this umbrella onto the stroller so I have my hands free!
13. Metrotots Over the door Stroller Hanger – For anyone space strapped, this is a great space saving way to store your stroller when it’s not in use.

This is a great list of accessories that I didn’t even know existed for strollers. We recently took the LO outside in the cold over the weekend with the stroller, and I didn’t feel at all prepared. I’ll have to add some of these items to my shopping list. Thanks!
